HIGHLIGHTS

Project included the refurbishment of existing retail centre over five levels including over 80 specialty stores, three major retailers and concourses serving Toowong railway station. All front of house spaces experienced a facelift, including the food court, amenities, travelators, lifts and building services.
All works were completed in a live environment with extensive staging implemented to minimize trading impacts to tenants and the public
The entire space was transformed from its ageing 1980’s style into a vibrant fresh retail centre. The hero of the design was the upgrade of the three storey atrium into a modern light & bright space. The façade and all front of house areas were also extended to maximise the functional space and create a welcoming entrance.

We provided a staged design and delivery process, developed in line with our detailed understanding of each tenancies lease requirements. As a major commuter hub, we ensured the centre and railway station were operational at all times throughout the construction phase. This was an extremely complex task, requiring extensive coordination of design elements, overlaying operational priorities with the physical site constraints.

The project’s success is defined by the amazing visual transformation of finishes and the functional cohesion of all building elements. The live environment project was successfully and safely delivered in line with critical leasing dates, providing an award winning environment that has been complemented by the client, the public and various industry professionals.
